Alexander Nikranovich Novoskoltsev

Alexander Nikranovich Novoskoltsev was an academian, specialising in history painting.  He was born in Zemlyansk, Voronezh region.  He won many accolades in the Moscow College of painting, sculpture and architecture and the Academy of Art, after an extended tour of Europe he returned to teach in the Academy.
