Jupp Wiertz 1881-1939, German illustrator and designer of travel posters. Born in 1888 in Aachen. He studied in Berlin and learned lithography in Leipzig. In 1914 he worked as a fine art printer and in the 20's and 30's Wiertz became a reknown poster artist. He worked on publicity for the German Reichsbahn and the Zeppelin production art designs and for Lufthansa.
