Hiromitsu Nakazawa (1874-1964) was born in 1874 in Tokyo and passed away in 1964. In 1900, he graduated from the Tokyo School of Fine Arts, where one of his notable teachers was Kuroda Seiki. According to Eric van den Ing, Hiromitsu Nakazawa is recognized as one of the earliest moku hanga artists who not only designed a woodblock print but also undertook the carving and printing process himself.
