The Erotic Alphabet
Learning your ABCs and working out what each letter stood for became simpler thanks to artist Joseph Apoux (1846-1910). In 1880 the French artist and satirist gave us his Erotica Alphabet (his French Letters). You can buy cards, bags and prints of each letter on fine art paper.
